On Earth day, April 21, premieres the third instalment of NateGeo’s Emmy-winning “Secrets Of…” franchise, “Secrets Of The Octopus”, which uncovers the secret lives of one of the most alien-like animals on the planet.
Paul Rudd, who has previously starred in Marvel’s “Ant-Man” and most recently in the Hulu/Star Original series, “Only Murders In The Building”, will be narrating the documentary. From executive producer and National Geographic Explorer-at-Large James Cameron, the three-part docu-series follows the success of the Emmy-winning “Secrets Of The Whales”, narrated by Sigourney Weaver, and most recently Emmy-nominated and Critics Choice Documentary Award-winning “Secrets Of The Elephants, narrated by Natalie Portman. We had the pleasure to produce and film a complete sequence for the series in the remote island of Fernando de Noronha, Brazil. Octopuses are like aliens on Earth: three hearts, blue blood, and the ability to squeeze through a space the size of their eyeball. But there is so much more to these weird and wonderful animals. Highly intelligent, octopuses can use tools, transform their bodies to mimic other animals and even communicate with different species, including us. The secrets of the octopus are more extraordinary than ever imagined.

For the past 2 years, we have been working side by side with production company Wildspace to film unique sequences, some never seen before, in the waters of Brazil. This is part of the next landmark series for Netflix and you can see the preview here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBqcdkgnT1E. Most of the shoots we have done have been remote so this requires a clear understand of what the producers want and what nature can offer for us to film Some things sometimes doesn’t work as expected but we guarantee we have got even better results when we didn’t had what we wanted in the first place. The sequences will blow your mind and we will be able to watch in 2025.
Cristian Dimitrius had the honor to diving and film the great illusionist David Blane in his latest endeavor, a new series for National Geographic “Beyond Belief with David Blaine”. Produced by Imagine Entertainment, during the series, David scours the world in search of extraordinary people—magicians, shamans, fakirs, and performers—who push themselves beyond what the world of medicine and science sees as possible. We cant say much about the experience we filmed but we guarantee that the whole team were very satisfied with the results and David blew his mind with what he saw. The series is still in production and will be released in 2024. Stay tuned.
Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks is set to narrate a 10-part series called The Americas next spring. Featuring music by composer Hans Zimmer, the project is from BBC Studios Natural History Unit -- the creators of Planet Earth and Blue Planet -- and Universal Television Alternative Studio. We have been proud to work for this series in two unique sequences filmed in the Amazon which took us 2 years to complete the whole assignment. We can’t wait to see these images on screen narrated by the incredible Tom Hanks.
During his weekly TV appearance in Brazilian Band TV, Cristian Dimitrius was caught off guard by a wasp while making a live appearance on his segment “Planeta Incrível (incredible Planet) on Band's “Melhor da Noite” (best of the night) daily show. The reporter was talking about the nesting of Amazon turtles, when the insect landed on his arm and stung him. The cameraman showed the injury live. "It's swollen," he revealed. In a chat with Glenda Kozlowski and Zeca Camargo, Dimitrius felt severe pain when the animal appeared on his arm. The moment did not go unnoticed and the show's presenters made a point of showing a replay of the exact moment the reporter was attacked by the insect. This moment went viral and was reported by many media channels. The segment Planeta Incrivel is aired every Wednesday where Cristian shows to the audience Natures beauty from around the world.
As part of our commitment to leave this planet better than we found, we begin in 2023 a carbon free project to minimize the impact we make during our travels. We are always on the move, driving miles on our truck to reach some nature areas in Brazil like the Pantanal or flying to even further destinations. This leaves a big footprint of burning gas, and to compensate, we are dedicating a big part of our income to buy trees to reforesting devastated areas. One tree for every 10 miles travelled. We believe this is very important. Nature gave us so much and we need to give back to nature. Be part of this green revolution with us.
